TowBoatUS Savannah earned Tower of the Year at the 2026 TowBoatUS Conference, recognized as the top location among more than 160 independently owned TowBoatUS companies nationwide.

TowBoatUS Savannah, an on-water towing and assistance company serving recreational boaters, earned Tower of the Year recognition at the 2026 TowBoatUS Conference in Orlando, Florida this January. The award selected TowBoatUS Savannah as the top location among more than 160 independently owned TowBoatUS companies nationwide.

Led by Captain Dana Rutland, the Savannah operation provides 24/7 services across Georgia waters, including towing, soft ungroundings, battery jumps, and fuel deliveries to BoatUS members. The company also offers salvage assistance and vessel recovery services. The operation maintains ACAPT certification and operates six response vessels.

The captains and staff at TowBoatUS Savannah are known for their exceptional service.

The Tower of the Year award evaluated membership sales, digital dispatch response rates, and customer satisfaction scores. TowBoatUS Savannah achieved a 98.2% excellent rating from boaters receiving assistance in the past year — a remarkable achievement across an operation that runs around the clock.

The broader TowBoatUS fleet—comprising over 600 towboats at more than 300 locations across North America—responds to more than 100,000 assistance requests annually. TowBoatUS Savannah’s recognition places it at the very top of that nationwide network.
